Life Church is presently leading mission trips to Peru and Panama City, Panama.  In 2007, there will be several opportunities for you to get involved in missions abroad.  Spanish is good, but not necessary on all trips.  Most people in our church in Panama speak fluent English.

Some dates are still tentative and subject to change.  However, this is a good guide for you as you make your plans to be a part of mission in 2007:

Passion for Peru Tour 2007

Life Church mission teams will be traveling to Peru on January 16-23, 2007.  The purpose of this trip is twofold:

Candarave Team One will be traveling to Candarave as an "extreme mission team" to teach and work in the churches to combat the witch doctor's influence among the people.  You will be well trained in what to do and how we minister in this area.  You will be in the Andes Mountains approximately three days.  This is an extreme climate, and you will be in cold weather.  The Hotel doesn't have heat and is subject to not having not water.  You will then return to Arequipa to join our team there who will have been preparing for the weekend evangelistic emphasis with our church Iglesia de Vida El Victorioso with Pastor Javier Banda.  Arequipa is the second largest city in Peru, and you will be staying in very good places.

Arequipa Team Two will travel into Arequipa and begin to do street evangelism and the coordination of our evangelistic emphasis for the weekend of January 19-21.  We will be doing children's ministries, clowns, Bible clubs, and other evangelistic endeavors.  Arequipa is the second largest city in Peru, and you will be staying in very good places.

Cost:  $1500 per person.  This will include travel from New Orleans, hotel transfers, hotel rooms, in-country flights, taxies, and transportation.

Meals and extras are at your discretion.

Deposit of $750 is due Sunday, December 17th to hold your reservation and for initial airfare to be booked at a lower rate.

Remaining balance due on Sunday, January 7, 2007.

MESSAGE FROM PASTOR PAUL - Managua, Nicaragua

I am in Managua, Nicaragua, visiting the feeding stations that we have partnered with Great Commission Fellowship to feed about 4200 children around Nicaragua.

Today (Tuesday, September 12, 2006) I have visited four of these stations where we prayed for about 450 children while they were being served food. We were also able to give away rice and beans to some of the mothers who allowed their children to come.

Please pray for the needs of these very needy and hungry children to be met. God has allowed us to partner with a great ministry and help children know the Love of the Lord.

I challenge you to give above your tithe to help us feed needy children in Nicaragua and Peru.

PANAMA - GENERACION SIN LIMITE (Launched 2006)

NOVEMBER 9, 2006 - I have just completed a visit of teaching and training with our church in Panama. I must say that I am so excited about what God is doing through this wonderful church. Pastor Ricardo and Ximena Herrera are doing an excellent job in ministry there. Each time I visit them I am drawn to love them more and more. They have excellent leadership in place and a tremendous group of young leaders with a heart and passion for God.

We have a radio ministry on Monday nights there on the leading Rock station in Panama. For one hour they play Christian music and speak life into people through this station. They have asked that we consider placing "Living the Life" on the radio in Panama. We will begin to pray about that and see what God does.

We must start praying for them as they finalize plans for a big community outreach project coming up in January. They have organized a soccer league and will host a tournament to attract people into a park. They are also providing a skate park for the teenagers to enjoy. It would be awesome if we could send a ministry team over to assist them and to help greet the people and do children's ministry during that time.

If you are interested in possibly going, email the church office at info@lifechurchinfo.com as soon as possible.

Please visit the website of our most recent church plant and our most energetic church plant at http://generacionsinlimite.com. I am asking God to allow us to be more intentional in our effort to help them in 2007. This would be a great trip for those who don't wish to face the extreme cold of the Andes Mountains. You can visit the Panama Canal as well as many other wonderful sites. Imagine having breakfast on the Atlantic Ocean and then seeing the sunset over the Pacific. All possible while visiting Panama City, Panama.

Please pray for this new church and ask God how He would have you help... GO, GIVE, and PRAY intensely for them. If you have an interest in going on a mission trip to our church in Panama in 2007 email the church office at info@lifechurchinfo.com.

PERU 2006

In 2004, Life Church launched an intentional and strategic mission effort into the country of Peru. It is our vision to see churches start in areas and regions of this country where there are no or very few churches.

Pastor Paul and Pastor Chris, mission pastor, left Mandeville on a vision trip to see the needs and discover the opportunities that God would open for Life Church to start churches and reach people for Jesus.

At present, Life Church has started 13 churches in the Andes mountains and one church in the second largest city, Arequipa. Life Church typically travels five times a year to Peru doing intentional and strategic mission trips with the intent of growing the churches we have already started and preparing to establish other churches in the region.

Every June, Pastor Paul leads a team from Mandeville to provide a Pastor School for those who have accepted Christ to encourage them to become spiritual leaders in their village and other villages.

Our remaining scheduled trips for 2006 are:

October 5-12, 2006
December 4-14, 2006

In order for these and future trips to be a success we need to raise funds to buy supplies to help us minister to the Aymara people.  Please consider making a donation to the missions fund! Every penny will be spent on a desperately poor person who desperately needs to hear the gospel.

Every penny counts; for as little as $20.00 you can help us start a church in Peru. So please consider a gift of $20.00 or more.

Please contact Life Church if you are interested in serving on Missions this year.

More about the Aymara People

The People of Peru

God is using Life Church members to do amazing things in Peru. Many people are involved in going, praying & financial giving. All of these are vital components in making the ministry such a success.

On April 8th-15th, 2004, Life Church sent a medical team (Americans & Peruvians) of doctors and nurses into the mountains. We used medicine as a platform for telling the Aymara people about their greatest need (Salvation through Christ). Toothbrushes, sunglasses, dental floss and medicines were distributed along with the message of salvation.

In order for this and future trips to be a success we need to raise funds to buy supplies to help us minister to the Aymara people. Please consider making a donation to the missions fund! Every penny will be spent on a desperately poor person who desperately needs to hear the gospel. Every penny counts, so please consider a gift of $1 or more!
